Three minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Warning: This is not for those who delight on counting calories or cringe at the thought of indulging themselves with a mound of chocolate deliciousness!

I have, like everyone else, decided that my New Year's resolution is to become healthier by exercising more and eating more nutritious...and if I happen to lose a few pounds on the way...YEAH!! Due to this, I have withdrawn from purchasing high calorie, sugar "treats"! It has worked, until now. Like all dieters, you come to a point where you would sell your soul for just one bite of something chewy, carmely, chocolately and creamy all in one bite. But, when you have nothing in your cupboards to suppress those urges, you find yourself in a state of chocolate depression. Rice cakes just aren't gonna cut it.

My sister told me about her friend's blog. She posted 3 minute chocolate mug cake. You heard me....chocolate indulgence in just 3 minutes....well, more like 5, including the prep time.

So, here it goes.......

3 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

1 microwavable mug
4 tablespoons flour (not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional...nuts too)
A small dash of vanilla extract

Add dry ingredients in mug, mix well. Add egg, mix well. Then, add milk and oil. Once mixed thoroughly, add chocolate chips and vanilla. Place mug in microwave for 3 minutes. The cake will rise over top of mug, do not be alarmed. Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto plate. Drizzle chocolate or caramel syrup and whip cream or ice cream. ENJOY!

I am a quick, cheap and easy type of gal. Let's face it...there are some things you should NEVER try!

I'll have to try this one...I tried a bit different recipe and it was kind of bland. Is this one better?

mmmm....chocolate. You know me, I love my chocolate and yes, rice cakes never can satisfy, I don't care what they say. I'll have to try it. I've tried something like it and it was yucky and it didn't get very gooy. Hope this is better.
