NOT! I repeat, NOT!

We had a few family things going on this last weekend, so we decided to head home. We enjoyed a nice, smooth, easy going ride.....

NOT! I repeat, NOT!

First we get up at 5 am. We have a baptism in Pockie and have to be there by 10 am. It takes 3 hours to get there. We leave just before 6:30. PLENTY of time. NOT! I repeat, NOT! We drove through a snow storm...hhmm...let me check my calendar...October 11....trapped in a snow storm...interesting. Our fault though, the weather man said it was going to snow this weekend. But, I pushed that little thought in the very back of my head along with the thought, "it will rain in the valleys, snow in the mountains." NOT! I repeat, NOT! We drove through one of the worst storms ever. Did we make it to the baptism? Barely! Showed up at 10:30 am. Good thing it was a Stake baptism and there were 11 kids being baptized. But, we were really glad that we made it and re-learned about our baptismal covenants and the Holy Ghost.

We then decided to venture to Logan to see my sister who just had a baby. No big deal, only an extra hour. NOT! I repeat, NOT! Crazy kids! The picture above portrays that things were smooth sailing for us....NOT! I repeat, NOT! He cried himself to sleep. Keep in mind, Jaxon doesn't have a monotone soft cry. He has a piercing, loud scream. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a soar throat today. I know I have an ear ache!!!!! But, it was really good to see our other family and baby Zack.

Hhmm...let's see...when is our next road trip...can't wait. NOT! I repeat, NOT!

Oh Mandie, I am so sorry. I hate those kinds of trips.

We saw a large family once on vacation that all climbed out of a limo, as a kid I was in awe. As a parent I'm jealous, they could put up the barrier and have peace a quiet. I don't think the family, was rich, just needed a large car, and smart enough to get one with a soundproof compartment.

Sorry for your troubles we are so glad we were able to see you and the kids. (and Conrad too, of course) If it makes you feel any better been there done that and it does get better as they get older! (at least on big trips for us, small in and around town they fight non stop for some reason)

I'm glad you could come and meet Zack. I feel bad it was such a short trip but hopefully we'll see you more during the next few holidays.

How much are those kid dvd players you talked about? I just seen them on tv and I love the idea for Payton.

Hey! yeah I heard there was a really bad snow storm through the twin falls, burley area. My uncles live in Matla and they got a foot of snow! And Declo got 2 feet! It was wild! Good thing you made it though!

I totally understand about the screaming thing! That is Kenadee's new thing! And she just does it to get what she wants! And it is very much in the ear piercing range! And so we try and limit our family travels as well! But I am so glad that you made it safely to Jeffrey's baptism! I know it meant the world to him that you were there!
